"Rottnest Island or Rotto is one of WA's most loved destinations to get away and relax. It is only a stones throw from the city but you feel like you are a hundred miles away. It is home to the famous Quokka and the even more famous Quokka Arms. Many an Aussie, after drinking way too much, staggered and swerved home on a hire bike, skilfully dodging the cute furry locals. It is a right of passage for many a teenager and those who never really grew up. The beaches are perfect and a great remedy for recovery after the said, big night out! I was never so crass to do such things.........."
