"Looking like a scene from Snow White or some other dark childrens fairytale, this photograph was taken in America. I was travelling with fellow photographer Tony Hewitt on an epic road trip looking for scenes of both nature and urban spaces. We found this beautiful state park in Idaho with forests of Redwood trees and stopped to make some images. It was perfect light for this type of scene with a light overcast sky creating even lighting and subtle tones. The illusion of depth enhanced by the gap between the trees and natural path, leading your eye from the foreground to the background. It isn’t often everything lines up to enable such an image to be made. The rich warm tones creating a feeling of an old master painting. It is one of my finest moments as a photographer."
