People often ask me how did I get into photography. There are a few different reasons but the underlying most relevant was the love of beauty. I wouldn't say I was a nature lover, an environmentalist, or even an outdoors kind of guy, I just felt good when out in the landscape. I have memories from some of the earliest years of my career, feeling the cares of the world slipping away as I began to look for inspiration in my surroundings. It was a meditation without the smell of incense burning or chanting mantras, it was a great relaxation brought about by focus on one thing, to find the beauty in nature.
