Earlier this week I was out in the wheatbelt with artist Ian Mutch. We were working on a large scale mural scratched into the earth with a scarifier. This image is of Ian placing marks on our canvas. It is such a great way to make art that is fleeting and can only live on through a recorded image. Hats off to Ian for the idea and the bulk of the hard work making it happen. I love this image as it is such a beautiful tree and with Ian in the shot it gives you a sense of scale. The actual mural will be revealed soon.
