"This image of the Black Cockatoos is a little dark and eerie. I wanted to convey the feeling I had when shooting them out at Grimwade. It is a beautiful but slightly unsettling campsite inland from Balingup. When we arrived there was this old caravan parked up with a strange hermit like person living in it. It seriously was like a scene out of the Blair Witch Project. The camping area is nestled within pine Forests on the edge of a small lake. Perfect place for an axe murderer to set up home and slowly take out the unsuspecting camper. Luckily we survived the night but it was a restless sleep. I am sure if we stayed two nights I wouldn't be here to tell this story. You don't know what is lurking out there in the bush, well you do, but kangaroos, emus and cockies don't wield axes! You have been warned!
