It is hard to resist the colours and shapes of a salt pond. I don't think the people that put these things together actually know they are artists! From the air these ponds become the most vibrant abstract paintings.
These images were taken up at Port Gregory. There is an operation there extracting Beta Carotene from these ponds. Some of you may have heard of the Hutt Lagoon or the pink lake and these ponds are formed within that.
